A Key to Success

When operating in a distributed work environment, communication is essential to the success of any project. We would also like to take a moment and remind everyone that communication requires the active participation of all team members. Over the next few weeks, we will be sending out numerous emails, setting up online training, making updates to the website and more in the hopes of easing the transition from on-campus to distance learning. Please check both your University supplied SHIP.EDU email account and your School of Engineering sponsored GMail account daily. In addition, joining the School of Engineering’s discord server, participating in other online forums and active communication with your fellow students will help see us all through the trials ahead.

The Department of Defense Training Information related to COVID-19

Please remember, there is a significant amount of information on the School of Engineering website but probably the most critical page to be aware of is the Frequently Asked Questions page located at: https://web.engr.ship.edu/for-students/faq/

Once again, Dr. Briggs has agreed to bring back TechTalk! Last week, you asked us to talk about networking so that’s what we’ll do.  We’ll answer whatever questions you may have about networks and related technologies. His talks will be available on Zoom on Thursday afternoons @ 2PM!

AS ACCESS TO CAMPUS IS RESTRICTED DUE TO COVID-19,  THE  PASSWORD RESET FORM IS INACCESSIBLE. THIS SYSTEM IS BEING REDESIGNED AND SECURITY HARDENED FOR OFF-CAMPUS ACCESS. At this time, please direct all of you support requests to your professor until the process has been finalized.
